Is it too much to say that Wellington’s Christmas #brunchclub was one of the best events of the year? No? Good! With 11 of us there it was an intimate but loud affair, hosted by the lovely Southern Cross on Abel Smith Street – quickly becoming a #brunchclub favourite! If you weren’t able to come, don’t fret, for this recap will make you think you were there!

The folks at Southern Cross did a wonderful job of decorating the table for us, and it looked absolutely gorgeous! We’d planned to decorate ourself, not anticipating the skilful in-house decorators that would work their magic on our table. They made us feel right at home, before simply stuffing us with food!

We had the pleasure of ordering from their Christmas set menu (they even custom printed us some cute menus for the table), being treated to a lovely entree of a cream cheese wreath, followed by massive Christmas plates. There may or may not have been some very full tummies and top button undoing…

Of course, no Christmas event is complete without a little fun, so a Secret Santa was a must. Our lovely attendees did a wonderful job at picking out gifts, and Georgina made an excellent Santa. We all went home with a little something, and then some!

Putting together our goodie bags wouldn’t have been possible without our superstar sponsors, so here’s a special, humungous thanks to Lush, Trilogy, and Teza, whose goodies unfortunately didn’t arrive in time, but will be used for our next goodie bag! These amazing sponsors gave each blogger a great little gift, so we all walked away with a big old bag of treats!

A final big thanks to Southern Cross for hosting us, and doing such a fabulous job at taking care of us! Thanks to everyone who made our Christmas #brunchclub a very merry affair!

If you attended Christmas at The Cross, post in the comments with a link to your blog – maybe even tell us what your favourite part of the day was?

Hoping everyone’s festive season has been spectacular!
